This design uses 40.6cm (16”) deep All Purpose shelving with SuperSlide hang bars and our Fixed Mount system.
Left hand side wall (116.2cm wide, 236.7cm high).
- Along this wall there is a 71cm (28”) wide top shelf for storing flat and folded items. This shelf will butt up to the top shelf on the back wall.
- Attached to the underside of the shelf is a 58cm (23”) wide hang bar for storing long garments.
- This hang bar will join up to a corner bar which will allow you to move & store garments around the corner without interruption.
- Bear in mind that garments typically protrude between 51cm (20”) and 56cm (22”) from the wall.
Back wall (166.2cm wide, 236.7cm high).
- On this wall there is a two tier hanging section for short garments.
- The top tier hang bar will be approximately 66cm (26”) wide and join up to the above mentioned corner bar.
- The lower tier hang bar will be 124cm (49”) wide.
- When creating two tier hanging sections we recommend placing the top tier shelf 213cm (84”) from the floor and the lower at 106cm (42”). The hang bars sit 10cm (4”) below the shelves creating a 96cm (38”) long hanging drop.
- At the right end of this wall there is a 40cm (16”) wide stack of shelves for storing flat and folded items.

It is important to point out that our ClosetMaid shelving must be fixed to walls that are flat across their face, perpendicular to the floor and in good condition.
Please note that as this design is carried out using customer supplied data some lengths of shelving & hang bar will be supplied oversized to accommodate variances in wall dimensions and mis-measures and will require trimming to final size on site by the customer. This can easily be done using a set of boltcutters or a hacksaw. End caps are provided to cover the cut ends of the shelves & hang bars.
Laundry Cupboard
